Welcome to Airpark Toastmasters. Won’t you stop by as a guest sometime?

It seems we excel in taking speakers from all levels and shaping them into “media magnets”! That’s the power of public speaking. Stop in sometime to find out what we’re all about.

But it’s not just about getting media attention. Many of our members have joined Airpark Toastmasters as a way to help strengthen communication skills for work and personal needs. Some want better communication with their spouses or children. While others want simply to meet new people without hesitation or anxiety.

Whatever your need we LOVE guests and you will never feel pressured or feel that you’re being judged. We welcome new members of any speaking level and look forward to meeting you soon.

Airpark Toastmasters is located near the Scottsdale Airpark area at Mayo and the 101.

We are a nurturing, supportive atmosphere with clear, concise and constructive feedback to improve your speaking and leadership skills.

The full benefits of attending Airpark Toastmasters come only when you join as a full member. Guests are invited and encouraged to speak informally at every meeting, but the members work a program of 10 speeches, participate as meeting functionaries, are provided mentors, and receive the coordinated support for which Toastmasters is famous worldwide. You will be asked to complete a Member Interest Survey, which you will bring with you to your first meeting with your mentor.

Membership in Airpark Toastmasters is probably the best investment you’ll ever make in your professional life. At just $59 per semi-annual registration period, it breaks down to less than $2 per meeting! The only other cost is a one-time materials fee of $20. Registration periods are the first of April and the first of October, but we prorate the fees if you join at any other time of the year.

Contact Brad Taft, our VP of Education, for a membership application!

  1. Greetings Toastmasters group,
Toastmasters trains great speakers and we would be honored if you would consider judging for our speech and debate tournament. Toastmaster Mike DiCerbo helped teach and train some of the students last year.

Please join us for a truly unique and valuable event, where you will also have a great time. It is called the Camelback Classic and will be held at Arizona Christian University. It is our club’s first national tournament for homeschooled students ages 12-18 in our Grand Canyon State.

Our team, Mars Hill Speech and Debate, is working hard to put Arizona on the map for speech and debate competition. We have had success! One hundred students will be gathering locally and from across the nation to compete in speaking events and debate events (listed below) in our grand state. The students dress in their finest suits to compete in speaking events, which can be described as entertaining, persuasive, thought-provoking, and logical. They also compete in debate events which test their ability to provide evidence and use their logic and critical thinking. It is amazing to invest in these students as they learn how to present and defend a case or delight you with the interpretation performance of their favorite book.

What we need is Arizona community judges or in a word. . .YOU. Your judging provides invaluable feedback to these students and would be greatly appreciated. All that is required of judges is that you a thinking person on the street. I believe you all are over-qualified, but would hope you will consider taking some time to help these students. The word judge might sound intimidating but we really need people who are inexperienced in judging to give their true feedback to student’s speeches and debate. We offer brief but comprehensive judge training before each round of competition. Your comments about what you like or were persuaded by are “gold” to these young communicators. We value your opinion and guarantee you will walk away saying that this was time well spent.

Please call me, or email. If you have friends, relatives, or co-workers who enjoy being entertained by well-delivered speeches and/or serious debate, please forward this information to them.

Thank you most sincerely and we do hope you consider this worthwhile investment,
